Hope Lives

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..."
1 Peter 1:3

Hope.  A word expressed so flippantly, quite often misunderstood, yet so readily proclaimed.  What does it mean to 'hope'?  What does it really mean?  Does it go beyond an optimism or wishful thinking? Can it be something more?  Where do we place our hope?  In outcomes, circumstances, or answers?  I pondered questions like these many times in my own painful past.  After all, I've longed for hope in the darkest of times and the most tragic of circumstances, both of which I've had my fair share.  Admittedly, those hopeful longings were for comfort, satisfaction, and the alleviation of whatever hurtful happenstance I found myself in.  By the power of God's Word, I have learned that HOPE takes on an entirely different definition than the world may lead us to believe.  Simply stated: Hope Lives!

God's Word paints the picture of true hope in the image of our Savior.  Hope Eternal. Living Hope.  We embrace this Hope that lives because Jesus lives.  He is our Hope.  Our only Hope.  Our Living Hope.  Thank you, Jesus!

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure..."
Hebrews 6:19
