My Hope is in You

One of our Mommies with Hope support group facilitators, Deanna, emailed me about this song recently.  Titled, "My Hope is in You," by Aaron Shust, this song reminded her of this ministry, given to us by God.  I had heard the song many times before, but took some time to really reflect on the lyrics of the song and was so encouraged as the Scripture sung in the song came alive.  I decided to share it with the ladies in the Ankeny/Polk City group last week and promised I would post the bible verses that go along with the song.  So, here they are...

I pray that God's Word would speak to you in a powerful way today.  May you know, believe, and claim the promises that He has especially for you as you read the words below and listen to them set to music.  Be blessed, fellow Mommies.

"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him.  He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken."
Psalm 62:5-6

"The Lord is near."
Philippians 4:5

"Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long."
Psalm 25:5

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:7

"I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His Word I put my hope."
Psalm 130:5

"It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain."
Isaiah 4:6

Thank you for sharing these scriptures, Teske. Love that song, love how it's laced with the truth of the Word! What comfort.
